Tempel Group's participation
The participation of Tempel Group in Telefónica's Workshops goes back several years, with 2019 being a special year for the organization, as it managed to win the Technological Innovation Award in the X edition thanks to the project devised by Tempel for Telefónica Chile by the team of Josep Antoni Sánchez, CTO (Chief Technical Officer) of Tempel Group. The proposal consisted of a structure designed to contain 48 V lithium battery modules (LFP), easily transportable, with a connection box and electrical protections.
Representing Tempel Group will be Pedro Peña and Laia Peña, CEO and CAO of the company respectively, Francisco Cámara as regional manager Latam and Óscar Landínez as head of projects / Telecom of the Colombian subsidiary.
Tempel Group's presentation, by Óscar Landínez, will focus on the migration or replacement of VRLA lead-acid battery banks with LFP lithium bank technology. Regarding these changes and the current status of this process, Landínez assures that "it is in full deployment and maturity of the solution, leading those scenarios where the need to obtain more energy and power per unit of space is vital".
He went on to state that LPF batteries can be used "in both new and existing base stations where battery backup expansion or transformation is required without changing the existing banks."
Tempel Group is a company that has always been characterized by working hand in hand with its customers and partners, always taking into account the environmental impact of its actions. Working with a strategic ally such as Telefónica, which has been a leader in environmental responsibility in large telecommunications operations, is in line with the company's strategy for the coming years.
